Description:
The cat, Felonious Thugbee, informed me the other day that he needs to sell his rifle; apparently he has shot his last buffalo. The rifle in question is a very nice Sharps 1863 model carbine, serial # 78619, one of 31,098 converted by Sharps to 50 - 70 caliber. It has all the proper cartouches and patent dates clearly visible. The stock almost certainly was replaced (most were) when it was refurbished (see inspector mark behind the saddle ring bar), and shows evidence of a newer finish. The bore is as new and is quite accurate (a real terror on prairie dogs). I added a taller front sight to get it to shoot to point of aim, and I do have the original front sight to go with the rifle. Also included are a hundred rounds or so of loaded ammunition (515 gr. postel soft lead bullets). Please call me, Peter Morgan for more information 406 842 7655. Thank you.
