Multiple manufacturers helped in the war effort by converting their machinery over to produce 1911s. One such company was Remington Rand, a typewriter company out of New York. They produced hundreds of thousands of pistols that saw conflicts in contrasting parts of the world. To this day, 1911s are seen as a symbol of American ingenuity and victory against those who wish to do evil in the world. This 1911 was produced in 1944, and is in good condition given its age and history.
