Description: This is a Waffenfabrik Neuhausen bayonet that measures 24" overall with an 18 7/8" blade having a single fuller on the right side of the blade and 32 double saw teeth on the blade spine. The blade still has the original polished bright steel surface with scuff marks from insertion into the scabbard and remains unsharpened. The ricasso has the “Waffenfabrik Neuhausen" marking. The The polished steel crosspiece shows signs of wear and is serial numbered “695997". The wood grips rate good to very good with several dings and handling marks. The pommel has the same polished steel surface with numerous scratches and handling marks. The scabbard is a blued steel with a 30% loss of finish along the body edges and on the finial with the original leather internal frog strap still present. Overall a very nice K-11 bayonet used by the pioneer corps in Switzerland on the Schmidt-Rubin Model 1889/11 carbine in 7.54mm. Please see the photographs for condition.
