Description:
Beautiful collector grade 1903 that will make a fine addition to any advanced military arms collection. This example dates from the first quarter of 1930, and was lightly refurbished, between 1936-40 at the Springfield Armory. It is guaranteed to be genuine and correct to the period immediately prior to the beginning of WWII. The stock set is in very good to excellent condition, consisting of a Rock Island, WWI production S type butt stock and a high-hump handguard from the same period. The stock is marked with the cartouches SADAL and SA SPG. The stock set is in exceptional condition for a rifle from this era, but does have the moderate wear, dings and handling marks to be expected of a stock set from this period. All markings are legible and are guaranteed to be fully genuine and original. The bore is bright and clean with well-defined rifling and the bolt face shows no sign of wear. The bolt body is marked N.S. and has the small gas escape hole typical of early 1930s production. The bolt shroud is blued, WWI NOS, while the rest of the bolt assembly has a black parkerized finish. The other components are a mix of blued or parkerized NOS WWI production and refinished original parts. This rifle appears to have been checked and tested at the Springfield Armory just before WWII and apparently saw little if any use thereafter. The model 1907 sling is also in very good to excellent condition and is unmarked, but it too is guaranteed to be genuine GI production. There is a 3-day, non firing, no disassembly inspection period starting from the time of delivery to your FFL holder. All returns must be recieved in the exact same condition in which they were originally sent to the buyer. Buyer pays all  shipping and FFL transferfees. As with all vinatage firearms, this rifle should be checked by a competent gunsmith before being fired. There is no shooting warranty on used gun sales and shooter safety is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Thanks for your interest. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. S&I are a flat $45.00 in the lower 48 states.
