Description:
This is a late production Winchester model 07 chambered for the .351 cal. self loader round. This rifle is in excellent original condition, retaining 99% factory blue finish to the metal, with a light scratch in photo 3, and 95+% finish to the stocks. There are no cracks or repairs to the wood, and only minor handling marks to the surface finish. Blue shows only a few faint handling or racking marks from overall minamal use. These rifles started out production as the model 1907, and they were one of the first self loading center fire hunting rifles in Winchester's line up for 1907. The designation was later changed to model 07. All model 1907 and 07's are of a take down configuration used on the self loading rifle model's 1903, 1905, 1910, 63, and 1911 shotgun. The prison variant has a heavier forend stock, a hooked finger loop on the charging rod, checkered steel butt plate, and sling lugs from the factory. Comes with one 5 round magazine. They offered an extended 10 round magazine as well, which will run you $150 if you can find one. The bore is mint, and the sight package is original to the gun. S/N 538XX appears on both halves of the receiver, and places the date of manufacture in the early 1950's, which would be near the end of production. It would be hard to improve on this example for your collection. Price $1650.00 plus $45 S&I by Postal Money Order to lower 48 only.
