Payment Types Accepted: Certified Check, Postal Money Order, Personal Check Description: This Winchester Model 1897 Trap Black Diamond 12-gauge shotgun, which was manufactured in 1909, is properly reconditioned to what it would have been like after a couple of years use by the original owner. The wood is refinished with a hand-rubbed stock-oil finish, the checkering refreshed, and the metal reconditioned using the traditional slow-rust-blue process. The exterior of the receiver and barrel have no pits, dents, or other flaws. The action was completely disassembled and cleaned, and springs and screws replaced as necessary. The 30-inch barrel has a 2-3/4-inch chamber and is choked full. The bores are bright and the lettering on the barrels is deep and crisp. Minimum wall thickness is .052. The length of pull to the end of the original buttplate is 14 inches. The gun weighs 7 pounds 12 ounces. The trigger pull is 6-1/2 pounds. All serial numbers, 461771, match. The list price does not include original shipping cost, which is paid by the buyer. The inspection period is 7 days from receipt by buyer. This gun has been fired gun using standard target loads. However, as for all vintage shotguns, and especially one 110 years old, it is recommended that new owner have it inspected by his or her gunsmith before firing. The gun carries a 30-day warranty, during which time Doublegun Preservation, LLC will have any problems documented by a professional gunsmith repaired or accept the return of the gun and refund the price of the gun and the return shipping cost.
