Description:
Model 1841 Whitney contract rifle in over all very good Cond. All metal is smooth without pitting. Lockplate marked E Whitney over U.S. and dated 1850. Breech marked U.S. over s.p. and V.P.and Steel with tang date of 1851. Bore is very good 54 cal. with 7 groove rifleling. Ramrod is a civil war model. Stock is good with two cartouches on left flat but has some dents and dings showing use and wear. Gun displays well. Call for details
