Remington 700 Varmint Special .223 Remington bolt action rifle, dated to 1988. This rifle features a solid walnut stock with finely cut checkering, a raised cheekpiece, and an ebony forend. The hardware has a deep blue finish, and the receiver is fitted with scope bases, and includes a set of scope rings. The rifle has a heavy bull barrel, and while it could probably be carried for varmint hunting purposes, it is designed for tripod or bench rest shooting, and will likely be very accurate with this barrel. The rifle is in excellent condition and appears to have seen light use, with only very minor blemishes, shown in the photos. The action is glass smoth and tight, and the bore is superb. Please refer to the photos to further assess the condition of the rifle. A wonderful varminter!
