Description:
Winchester Custom Model 70 RMEF Rifle in .300 WSM. A Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation rifle, built as a raffle/give away prize for the RMEF's annual Elk Camp and Mountain Festival. The rifle is presented as a 2010 Joe Treadway Chairman’s Edition. A Signed, Numbered Limited Rifle. Signed by Joe Treadway (8th photograph) and numbered #14 of 25 (3rd photograph). At the time the rifle was built, Joe Treadway was the Board Chairman of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. The rifle was built on a FN manufactured Winchester Model 70 short action and fully tuned and fitted with a custom-fluted 24" barrel, and all metal parts have been beautifully hand-engraved with a floral pattern, including an engraving of RMEF logo on the floorplate (4th photograph), and given a matte black ceramic coating. Oregunsmithing (spelling is correct) bedded and free-floated the barrel and action into a carbon fiber classic stock with a palm swell design, a Pachmayr decelerator pad and a proprietary chemical textured coating in an OD green color with black webbing. S&K scope-mounts, rings and bases (also ceramic coated) are included as well as a Leupold VX-3 3.5-10x40mm with CDS adjustments.
