Description:
The Colt Agent Light Weight .38 Special revolver (2nd Issue) was produced by Colt from 1973 to 1991. It features a light weight frame and a 2" inch barrel with a shrouded ejector rod in a matte-blue factory finish. The grips are smooth Walnut with gold colored Rampant Colt medallions. This particular example was made in 1985 and is 100% original. The matte blue factory finish is in great shape overall rating 97% plus, and only shows some very minor handling marks and a faint drag line on the cylinder. It is apparent that this Agent has probably spent most of it's existence in storage or a sock drawer. If it has been fired since leaving the Colt factory it has been fired a handful of times at the very most. The bore in this Agent looks brand new with no pitting, erosion, or imperfections. The rifling is still clean with nice sharp lands and grooves. The cylinder bores are equally as clean. The hammer which was left bright from the factory, still looks great with only some extremely minor staining on the left side that could be cleaned off by the new owner if he or she so chooses. The original Walnut grips are in excellent condition and are free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or visible wear. They are nicely fit to the gun and tight to the grip frame with no wiggle. This gun is in 100% working order just like the day it left the factory. If you have been looking for one of these later production Agents for your collection this example would be a great choice. It would be really hard to upgrade from this one.
