Remington 1863 Zouave Percussion Contract Rifle. Beautiful Remington 1863 Percussion contract rifle, these were also known as “Zouave rifle”. Barrel retains about 99% original bluing lock plate and hammer has 90% original case harden. Stock is near excellent with two crisp cartouches. There is a spare nipple in the patchbox. Lock plate and barrel are dated 1863. One of the most beautiful Remington 1863 we have seen in a while!
