This is a beautiful vintage Remington Model 700 BDL in .243 Winchester caliber complete with a nice Leupold VXIIc scope. This Remington Model 700 BDL was made in October of 1977 and has spent most of it's life in storage. It shows very little carry wear and likely has been fired only a handful of times in the last several decades. The original factory blue finish rates a conservative 95% and the bore is minty and bright. The rifling still has sharp lands and grooves and there is no pitting or erosion visible. The original checkered Walnut stock is in excellent condition as well. It shows only minor handling and storage marks and is free from cracks or repairs. The original Remington black plastic butt plate and pistol grip cap are still in place and in excellent condition. It comes with a period Leupold VXIIc scope mounted up on Redfield rings and a 1-piece base. The 3 to 9 power scope has clear and bright optics with a duplex style reticle. All of the adjustments work perfectly on the scope like it left the factory last week. The rifle is also 100% functional and all of the controls work "like-new". These older Remington Model 700 BDLs are becoming more and more valuable each year. They were very well made with a lot of attention to detail at this point and many shooters believe them to be superior to modern production. If you have been looking for a classy and attractive deer or varmint rifle here is your chance to get a great one that is ready to go to the range or afield. This rifle would be a great addition to any collection and you would be hard pressed to find one in any better condition.
