This is a beautiful Browning A5 Light Twenty shotgun with a 26" inch vent-rib barrel choked "Improved Cylinder" made by Miroku in Japan for Browning in 1979. This Light Twenty is obviously a safe queen that has been fired a handful of times at most in the last 40 years. The Miroku-made A5's are well known for being extremely well-made with great attention to detail in thier construction. These Japanese Browning A5's quickly earned a reputation for being both extremely attractive and very reliable, with many shooters and collectors claiming that the finish quality and reliability rivaled that of the earlier Belgian-made guns. This particular Light Twenty has a beautiful all-original factory blue finish that rates 98% plus. The only deductions that we can find are some finish wear on the magazine cut-off switch and some very minor high-edge wear in a couple of places, neither of which detract from the extremely clean look of this A5 overall. The gold finished trigger rates 99%. The bore in the ventilated rib 26" inch barrel is minty and mirror-bright. There is no pitting, dents, bulges, or visible imperfections of any kind. The factory checkered Walnut stock set is in superb condition. Both the forearm and buttstock are free from any cracks, chips, or repairs. Only under very close inspection can one find a few tiny scattered handling/storage marks in the stock set. The checkered panels on the forearm and wrist are crisp and clean, and the factory clearcoat is 100% intact and crystal clear. The factory Browning-branded buttplate is perfectly fit to the buttstock and is nice and tight to the wood. The internals of this Light Twenty A5 are just as pristine as the exterior. There is no visible mechanical wear to any of the moving parts. All of the controls on this Browning are in perfect working order and the action goes into battery with authority. If you have been looking for a classy and attractive 20 gauge semi-auto shotgun to carry afield or add to your collection this 1979 Browning A5 Light Twenty would be a great choice. You could carry this shotgun with real pride into any dove field or quail hunt anywhere.
