A fine collectible for those who lament what happened to the Abercrombie & Fitch brand and want something to remember it by. From the outfitter of Teddy & Kermit Roosevelt's 1909 British East Africa safari that extended into the Belgian Congo and ended in Khartoum, this dual-compartment canteen is cased in very thick tan bridal leather with strap. There is a tear in the strap and I think it needs to be replaced. The silver plate marks on the bottom of the canteen indicate James Dixon & Sons. The Abercrombie & Fitch brand name also appears on the bottom of the canteen. All original, and in great shape overall. The shoulder strap has separated so this is discounted from $340.
