Webley &Scott 28 ga.,XXV - 25'' barrels bores are bright excellent choked modified and a tight full.
Cased in Brady canvas/leather red interior and makers label.S/N 728202. Less then 40 made in 1966 to 68 !
Real sweet little English double -Birmingham nitro proofed with 2 3/4'' chambers for 3 1/4 tons.
Full coverage scroll engraving ''WEBLEY & SCOTT'' on either side of action.
The barrels are engraved ''WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND.'' on
right tube and ''SERVICE ARMAMENT CO. RIDGEFIELD, N.J. U.S.A.'' on left.
Does not look to have been used much at all. action is nice and tight, the barrel finish may have been restored if so extremely well done.
Very strong original color case-hardened finish with the floorplate and triggerguard showing
98% plus original blue finish.
Straight grip buttstock and forend have very fine checkering,excellent original finishshowing just a couple very light handling marks.Has vacant gold oval in buttstock for initials.
Handles so nice-like a wand, weighs just 5 1/2 lbs. with a 15 1/4'' LOP, DAH and DAC 1 3/8" and 2 1/8"
Green canvas-fadded a bit,and leather Brady style case w/ Webly & Scott label.
Super Birmingham 28 bore double, cased and like new ready to be enjoyed in the woods.Would make a neat woodcock gun.
