WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 SADDLE RING .44 W.C.F. CAL. CARBINE CIRCA 1904. Highly sought after .44-40 (.44 W.C.F.) 20” barrel, full length magazine carbine serial numbered in the 549,xxx range. Original Model 1873 folding leaf Winchester Factory rear sight. Post and brass bead front sight. Saddle ring on left side of frame. Extra nice example with 60% blue on barrel and tube. Frame and loading lever with the original medium grey patina. Excellent markings with barrel address particularly sharp. Caliber marking at breech extra sharp as well. Stock and forend with light wear and a few minor nicks. Light hairline at the left wrist extending from the tang screw to the lever catch. Is very fine and has been re-glued nicely and does not detract from the overall handsome appearance. Perfect working order and excellent plus bright bore with well defined rifling. Hard to find Winchester .44-40 caliber Model 1873 Carbine.
