BRITISH GEORGE III PATTERN 1804 ROYAL NAVY CUTLASS. 28” o/a with 23” curved blade without fuller and stamped on the left side near the guard with the George III Royal Cypher. Classic iron hilt with waffle grip and “FIGURE 8” guard. Very good overall. Guard shows minor effects of long sea service but still has much of the black japanned finish. Excellent blade. Battle of Trafalgar, Napoleonic Wars and War of 1812 era.
