WW1 ERA RUSSIAN COSSACK PATTERN 1881 SHASQUA DATED 1898 WITH SCABBARD. 39” o/a with 34” blade with ricasso stamped with Russian Arsenal proofs and dated “1898”. Excellent overall with very good brass mounted leather scabbard showing moderate wear and with a period reinforced section near the drag which appears arsenal done. Very good blade and nice arsenal proofs on brass guard. Much finer example than usually encountered.
