This one is 1937 production. The color and the stamps all look right to me, we have had a couple of Model 12 enthusiasts look at it, and they say "original factory finish". The wood is beautiful as well. The current owner has hunted with this gun, but he's careful with his gear. The stock needs to be tightened to the rec'r, but I don't want to take a screwdriver to the buttplate. There is also a hairline crack that should be an easy repair coming off the short tang on the bottom of the rec'r behind the trigger guard. It won't picture. It's a gorgeous gun that looks like it just came off the factory floor. One short little squiggle scratch on the right side of the rec'r under the ejection port. 26" barrel, solid rib, mint bore and internals. Again this is a 16 gauge, marked SKEET on the frame beneath the serial number. Then 23/4WS-1 under the 16 GA. stamp on the barrel, U.S.A.pat.pending under that. It is in stunning condition. No box or papers. In order to protect your investment, all long guns over $500 must be shipped in a hard case. Minimum shipping at this level is $55 and includes the hard case. Shipping cost could increase depending on value or weight of the firearm. For long guns less than $500, we still recommend the purchase of a hard case, again to protect your investment.
