U.S. Model 1836 Flintlock Pistol. Dated 1842 by R. Johnson, Middletown Connecticuter. This pistol in new, unfired condition. The metal parts “in the white” are perfect. The stock is crisp with raised grain. The lock has 100% of its case colors, as does the frizzen and cock. Inspector cartouches are perfect. If you want a top condition 1836, this is it! The Model 1836 has long been considered the most eye appealing U.S. martial flintlock pistol by many well respected collectors.
