Walther P-38 (Coded ac 45) Cal. 9mm, Ser. 5391. In 1945 the "c" block was the very last batch to be made before the Allies took over the factory and almost all of the production consisted of mis-matched guns This "c" block P-38 is one of them. In fact Fjestad's Blue book says to add 20% to the value of a regular "C" block if found all matching This beauty is just about flawless. Even with the most critical examination it has retained at least 99.9 % of the original dull end of war factory finish. The only loss is some very slight sharp edge silvering. There isn't even any muzzle wear, surface scratches, rub marks or rust spots.The front grip have not started to gray. All parts have the proper Eagle/359 inspectors mark. The black plastic grips are factory new condition. Not a chip or nick anywhere. The slide rails, bolt face and feed ramps show no use. The barrel is absolutely pristine. The bore is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling with no frosting. It comes with one correct P-38 mag with the spine stamped Eagle/55. This "Cabinet Queen" was probably in the factory when overrun then into some GI's stateside Trophy Cabinet. .A great investment, a beautiful centerpiece, and great fun at the range.
