Description: General Specs: Colt, Year 1970, .38 Spl, 16oz Serial Number: B60884 The Colt Cobra was the first of the “SNAKE GUNS”, introduced in 1950 and made through 1981. The First Issue was built between 1950 and 1972 and did not have the barrel shroud you see on the Second Issue. Weighing just 16oz. with its lightweight alloy frame and housing 6 rounds of .38 Spl. Ammunition, the gun is a well respected carry gun that is hand tuned and finished to perfection. This fine Cobra, snB60884 made in 1970, is in factory mint condition with little signs of wear or use. More importantly, it is a factory nickel finish gun, one of the rarest in this line of Cobra Snake Guns. Gurney Brown, author of the finest book on collectible Colt Snake Guns, entitled Seven Serpents rates the nickel finished Cobra a solid “5” in rarity, on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being most rare. To find a near new Cobra, with near perfect grips and finish, in NICKEL, is a great and rare find. This gun has a perfect bore with no blemishes, perfect screws, and superb mechanics. No box, but a delightful, lightweight Colt Cobra in a hard to find combination of condition, rarity, and function. Thanks for looking!
