This is a PREMIER Back Action gun made from 1878 to 1888. This is an “A” grade gun with full coverage of fine English scroll engraving, High grade English walnut stock. This 10 gauge side by side was built in 1881. Rib is marked WEBLEY & C. SCOTT & SON. MAKERS AND PATENTEE S. 10. Gt. CASTLE STREET REGENT CIRCUS LONDON. Left side lock marked W & C. SCOTT & SON over PATENT BLOCK SAFETY over HAMMERLESS. PATENT CRYSTAL INDICATORS. The indicators are windows which when the hammers are cocked are visible. 10 Gauge 23-5/8” Damascus barrels with standard ejectors. Weighs in at 8-1/4 pounds. 14” length of pull. Drop at the combis 1-3/8”. Drop at the heel is 7-7/8” . Drop to the toe is 6-3/4”. These guns sold for $295.00 in 1884. This is one of 1500 back action guns made. Overall condition Very Good.
