Description:
SALE PENDING. Model 70 in.257 Roberts made 1941. This rifle is in excellent shape for its age, but it’s been a hunter, not a hangar queen. Minor handling marks in wood. Sharp edge wear on bottom metal and wear on bolt knob. Transition safety. Small notch cut in left side of stock for receiver sight (photo) and plugged pair of side by side screw holes in rear receiver and at breech end of barrel for some ancient four-footed mount (photos). Otherwise all original from buttplate to muzzle. Bore excellent. 1950’s Lyman 6x Wolverine Scope ("Target and Varmint", per .257 marketing) with original box (some wear) in Redfield Jr mount (box included). Great caliber in a great rifle that has taken a lot of game. Shipping & insurance $40.
