Heckler & Koch Model 940 chambered in the classic hard hitting 30-06 Springfield. This high quality German made semi automatic rifle was ahead of its time when importation was discontinued in 1986, due to high cost of manufacture. Featuring the same delayed roller lock action as their famous battle rifles, detachable box magazine and a 21.6" barrel with integral muzzle brake. This rifle is in excellent condition, retaining approximately 98% of its original blue, a bright bore, and sharp rifling. The Monte Carlo style stock with schnabel tip has some scattered handling marks, is free of cracks, and has sharp checkering. The rifle still retains its original factory quick detach mount with 1" rings that are free of cracks. The trigger breaks cleanly and the rifle has a well made folding rear sight. Included are one factory magazine, factory scope mount and rings, and a nice leather sling with factory quick detach sling swivels. Sorry no box or paper work. A fine example of German engineering that is both reliable and highly collectable.
