Description:
General Specs: Winchester, Year 1973-1980, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 6oz, Chokes Improved Mod
Serial Number: C600311

The Winchester Model 37 was in production from 1936 to 1963 and was Winchester’s introductory shotgun for the youthful shooter, or their simple shotgun for those that needed something simple and affordable.  The Model 37A was the successor model to the Model 37 and was produced from 1973 to 1980 and was a very sound, exposed hammer single barrel, single shot shotgun with an ejector.  This gun, serial number C600311, was made around 1974 and remains in what is likely NEW, UNFIRED CONDITION, as it has no primer mark around the firing pin hole on the standing breech and the metal has no wear at all showing 99.5% dark factory blue on receiver and barrel.  There was some very minor light surface rust on the receiver that we removed.  The wood has no wear on the finish or checkering, only a few light handling marks from taking in and out of the safe.  This is the YOUTH MODEL, having a factory LOP of 13 ½” and a factory pad.  It is chambered for up to 3” shells and is factory choked Improved Modified with a perfect mirror shiny bore.  The mechanics are excellent, and she is ready for you to introduce a young shooter to shotgunning or use it yourself.  It is not easy to find these guns in near new condition.  If you have a lady or youth or other small statured shooter in your world maybe this is a good buy for introducing them to the world of shotgunning.  Thanks for looking!
