Description:
This M1 Carbine, serial # 666xxx has all the correct USGI parts for the 5th production block of Inland M1 Carbines made during World War II.  All of the rifles part that were identified by stamping I will document below, and all of the springs, pins, and unstamped parts have been identified as correct by using photographs from the book "Comprehensive Guide M1 Carbine" by Roger Larson.  This M1 Cabine has not been  stamped as being through a rebuild, restored, or upgrade program.  This old survivor will turn 75 years old in November, but all of the metal shows to have been used very little or taken very good care of.  There are no dents, damage, or evident wear to any of the metal parts, and the correct Overton milled Inland ( stamped OI) stock and hand guard have only a couple of small mishandling dents.   This rifle will be the talk of the shooting range every time it appears!
