Description:
This is a Colt Woodsman first series Match Target model, with the iconic elephant ear grips. This particular example was built in late 1938, or early 1939 with S/N MT3332. This variation of the Woodsman was introduced in 1938, so this is one of the first produced. This gun is quite nice, and carries a strong 85% original blue finish with a few blems from use, and being carried in what is most likely the H.H.Heiser holster purchased with it when new. This gun carries it's original sight package, and has a mint bore. The gun has the original and correct M/T magazine in two tone, with 3 lines of information on the base, also in excellent condition. There is a small chip missing from the base of the grip which I photographed, but no cracks or anything other then normal wear to the rest of the grip. Comes with the beautiful vintage Heiser holster pictured, a $200 value in itself. I do not have the box or manual for this piece. $1995 plus $40 S&I to lower 48.
