Description:
This a WWI era Rock Island Arsenal (safe) high serial number rifle that was re-arsenaled during WWII and exactly as shipped from the CMP on 9-25-2002. It is complete with its original CMP Invoice, shipping box and CMP furnished manual. All information is intact except all owners personal information is removed. It is as follows: Again re-arsenaled / re-bareled during WWII. The metal has all milled parts and retains appx. 95% / 98% of the arsenal finish and in fact still packed/coated with the protective grease. The bore appears to be VG to Excellent but again in need of further cleaning. Action and mechanically it is excellent and is probably unfired after receipt from the CMP. The wood is very serviceable rating about VG with the hand guard having a few typical arsenal repairs and the set still having evidence of arsenal storage grease. The straight pistol grip stock has some visible proof marks. Overall quite a respectable example of the Historic WWI/WWII (High Number) ‘’Rock Island Arsenal’’ Model 1903 Rifle, Plus it comes with its Documentation! *Allow extra Shipping for weight and large box.
