Description:
Colt Single Shot Pistol, 3rd Model (Thuer Model) in 41 Rimfire caliber, manufactured, between 1875 and 1912. This is a 3rd variation, serial # 19142 matching on lower left frame and in pencil on inside of grips. Tight hammer spring. Solid walnut grips with no splits or cracks, never sanded or refinished. Brass frame has gone to mustard and retains about 10% of the original silver plating. Barrel shows no original blue, basically gray with scattered patina. Very good bore with minor scattered roughness. Correct "COLT" marking on barrel. Correct front sight. British proofs on left side of frame and on underside of barrel so this one went overseas to England. Rare find with these proofs!
