Description:
Up for sale today is a US Springfield M1903 serial no. 715643 (1917 production) chambered in caliber .30-06. This excellent original military-rebuild M1903 has outstanding original finish on both metal and wood components. The rifle has a barrel date of “’Circle S’ 9-44,” a mint bore, a throat erosion reading of 1.0 and a muzzle wear reading of 0.5. Of special note is that this rifle shows a Sedgley-produced barrel. Sedgley barrels are noted for their outstanding inherent accuracy. The rifle wears a Scant C M1903 stock. An outstanding, beautiful rifle and an eminently capable shooter as well.
