Description:
Up for sale today is a US Springfield M1903 serial no. 1381729 (1931 production) chambered in caliber .30-06. This excellent original military-rebuild M1903 has outstanding original finish on both metal and wood components. The rifle has a barrel date of “HS 9-44,” a mint bore, a throat erosion reading of 2.5 and a muzzle wear reading of 1.5. Of special note is that this rifle shows a High Standard-produced barrel. High Standard barrels are noted for their outstanding inherent accuracy. Interestingly, the rifle shows a New Zealand property marking on the stock. An excellent rifle and an eminently capable shooter as well.
