Description:
Frontier era holster. This holster takes a 6" or shorter small frame revolver. This is a slim Jim style holster. A Right Side Holster in very good condition. No loose stitching, no scars, light scratches, and a nice even rich patina on the pouch. The special feature of this holster is that the leather is fully alive and would give many years of use. Here I show some of the small frame revolvers that this holster fits, there are probably many others. Fits Colt Lightning 6", Merwin Hulber .38 S&W 6", Colt new Model DA 6"and Harrington Richards and similar
Made of light weight leather. This holster is properly marked the catalog numbers and the letters, I suspect it is private label mark for Heiser. This holster dates 1890 to about 1910. You will note it has no safety strap giving it the feel and appearance of an early frontier holster.
The leather is fully alive and will provide years of use.
