Payment Types Accepted: Postal Money Order Description: According to the former owner this rifle was made by S.H. Curd between 1845 and 1865 in Greenville Kentucky. The Lock which is difficult to read was made by C. S. Welles Hardwarwe Company of Evansville, Ind. The barrel is marked underneath James Little. It appears to be about a 40 Cal. It measures about 55 inches long by the barrel of 38 1/2 inches. The stock is solid and the action works fine. According to a local gunsmith who builds and repairs these old rifles this was a high end rifle when made. The barrel is rifled but shows wear. Buyer pays actual shipping cost.
