The S&W Model 640 Centennial Stainless was made from 1989 to 1996. The 5-shot revolvers were fitted with a 1 7/8 inch barrel, Goncalo Alves wood grips with S&W medallions, .312" smooth combat trigger, fully concealed hammer, and chambered in .38 Special. Do not get this 640 confused with the later .357 Magnum Model 640, they had a slightly larger/longer frame. This 1992 vintage Model 640 is in excellent condition, appearing to having been fired very little and not carried at all. The bore looks like new and the action is tight and functions perfectly.
