We have seen some very unique and interesting "Sporters" over the years derived from surplus military rifles, some ugly and some beautiful. This custom Norinco SKS Sporter is one of the best we have ever seen derived from an SKS. If you did not know that it was originally a Chinese Military SKS made by Norinco it could just about pass as a factory semi-auto hunting rifle. This custom SKS sporter features a beautiful bright gloss-blue finish, a shortened and expertly crowned 16.5" inch chrome-lined barrel, a polished bright bolt, an internal 5-round magazine with a custom flush floorplate, a side-mounted adjustable optics base and rings, a receiver-mounted shell deflector to protect the scope, a hand-tuned and lightened original factory trigger, and a beautiful American Walnut thumbhole stock with a cheekpiece, sling swivels, and a recoil pad. The stock deserves special mention as the Walnut is exceptionally pretty with lots of contrasting grain and figure in addition to the beautiful glossy reddish-brown finish. All of the factory serial numbered parts are matching, this was built from an all-matching original SKS. As you can see from the pictures provided, this SKS sporter would make an excellent deer or varmint rifle. It is 100% functional and all of the controls are in perfect working order. It comes with a Tasco 6-24x40 scope with an adjustable objective lens already mounted up. If you have been looking for a truly one-of-a-kind custom "sporter" for your collection that all of your friends and hunting buddies will want to see and handle, this Norinco SKS Sporter would be a perfect choice!
