Description:
1873 Colt SAA Frontier Six Shooter. 7 1/2 " barrel is good with light surface wear has a brownish patina. Originally a nickel plated revolver. The acid etch "Frontier Six Shooter" on the side of the barrel has worn off. The bore remains good with light general wear and strong rifling. The cylinder, barrel, trigger guard and frame are all numbers matching. The loading gate and frame assembly number match. The cylinder locks up tightly and the action is perfect. The hammer cocks with the 4 COLT clicks perfectly. I had the hammer repaired and the action is perfect (cost $600).The screw heads are in good shape. The original grips are field worn in good shape. Colt serial number lookup says Mfg. date 1880. The toe of the butt strap is stamped 54 possibly a police or company inventory number that looks original to the gun as the wear looks uniform. Shipped USPS priority mail. Signature required. Cashiers check must clear before shipment. Antique (pre 1898) ships to your door $30 USPS priority. I have a lot more money into this piece than I am asking-my loss is your gain. $2395. Three day inspection. Please consult professional gunsmith prior to shooting any antique firearm.
