Description:
This beautiful Fox Sterlingworth in 20-gauge has 28" barrels with automatic ejectors. About 100% original case color and about 100% original wood finish. Trigger guard has 100% original blueing and the hard rubber butt plate and grip cap are original and all screws are perfect with no evidence of ever having been turned.
The bores are perfect and the chokes are MOD (rt) and XFULL (left) and the chambers are the original 2-5/8" for the 2-3/4" shells.
The barrels have 100% original blueing except for two tiny scratches and two blemishes - one being a very small area of what appears to be surface rust at the muzzle of the left barrel from storage (see picture) and the other is a 2" area on the top of the left barrel at about halfway of its length (see picture). It appears to have been a series of tiny repetitive dings, again from improper storage, that a previous owner had polished and blued over. This area can only be seen in full sunlight at just the right angle. The dings do not show in the bore - they are that tiny. Please see pictures.
