Inv. 6814 Winchester Mdl. 61, Cal. .22LR, Ser. 2022XX. What a sweetheart of a find this little rare gem is made in the 1950s just a few years before it was discontinued.
This condition of the gun is definitely "collector grade". It has at least about 98+99% of the original factory blue. There is some very slight sharp edge silvering and a and some small areas of pin pricks or surface flakes on the receiver.
There is no rust or rub marks anywhere. Inspection of the action rod shows none of the usual wear found on pump guns. The stock and forearm are beautifully figured walnut and retain about 99.5% of the original factory lacquer. There is one small area on the toe that does have a couple small areas of surface flaking.
There are no splits, nicks or dings anywhere. The bore is super, mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. There is not even a hint of frosting.
It like the rest of the gun shows almost no use. A beautiful acquisition for a collector or a joy for use in the field......$895
