Description:
EARLY CIVIL WAR ERA SMITH & WESSON NO. 1 SECOND ISSUE REVOLVER. 22 RF Short caliber. Cylinder with early 1855 and 1859 patent dates. 3 ¼” barrel with “SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS.” Address. Very good to fine with brass frame having 80-90% original silver plate. Barrel a grey patina. Walnut grips with the original finish. Working order but cylinder does not always register correctly. Barrel latch somewhat hard to open but it cocks nicely and the cylinder rotates correctly. All original and reasonably priced.
