ORIGINAL WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 OCTAGON .25-35 W.C.F. CAL. 20” NICKEL STEEL BARREL SHORT RIFLE CIRCA 1908. 100% original and rare with the 20” barrel and 7/8th” shorter forend. Full length magazine tube. Correct and original to the last screw. Caliber stamp at the breech and correctly stamped to the left of the rear sight “NICKEL STEEL BARREL/ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER”. Winchester address and patent dates stamped exactly half way between the muzzle and the frame which is correct for the octagon short rifle. Factory elevator rear and blade front sights. Steel rifle butt plate. Walnut stock and forend. Fine overall with approximately 95% blue on the barrel and approximately 40-50% on the frame mixed with patina. Wood with the original finish. Small sliver lost at the front left of the forend. Perfect working order and excellent bore. Original 20” octagon short rifle in the scarcest caliber.
