From what little information we have been able to find, the Norinco Model 63 SKS was made for one year only in 1988, making it a scarce variation. The Norinco Model 63 is unique in that it came from the factory with a 20" inch barrel, accepts standard AK-47 magazines and drums, and has a factory "D-grip" thumbhole stock. Also of note is that they were imported in the States with the standard folding spike bayonet mount removed, and the front sight has an open top instead of the standard full hood. This particular Norinco Model 63 SKS is beautiful and appears to be like-new and unfired. The original gloss blue factory finish rates 99%, with visible wear, thinning, or corrosion. The bolt assembly which was left in the white is pristine, with no visible wear or evidence of ever having been fired. The chrome-lined bore in the 20" inch barrel is immaculate, with nice sharp rifling and no visible imperfections whatsoever. All of the internal parts are as pristine as the exterior of this SKS. The factory D-grip hardwood stock is in excellent like-new condition as well. The wood is free from any cracks, chips, or repairs, and the stock hardware and factory recoil pad are in perfect condition. All of the controls are in perfect working order, 100% like the day it left the factory in 1988. This rifle comes complete with one Chinese 30-round Norinco magazine and an original Chinese Military greensling (not pictured). If you have been looking for a unique and scarce SKS to add to your collection this Norinco Model 63 would be a great choice. It certainly has to be one of the nicest in existence, and could not be upgraded. This Norinco is as good as it gets!
