Description:
SOLD - You are looking at a fine little upland game bird gun made by AYA. It's a model XXV. This model gets its name from the 25" barrels and tapered rib made famous by E. J. Churchill many years ago. The barrels and overall weight make it a fast handling gun, whether in the grouse and woodcock coverts or behind dogs in the field. This gun has H&H style lock removal screw and gas ports, with bushed firing pins. The wood is beautiful, with teardrops, a checkered horn buttplate, and is in very good overall condition. As seen in one picture, there is an expertly repaired crack in the wrist behind the right lock. Also, it has one significant mark which can be seen in another picture. The receiver colors are still good and have extensive floral engraving. The barrels have a little wear on the sides, just in front of the breech and at the muzzles. The gun is still tight and the lever is right of center. Many years of life left in it. Insured shipping to the Lower 48 States is included in the posted price. As always, thanks for looking!
