Description:
This is one of the rarest Prussian Officers Picklehaube, the BLACK EAGLE is emblematic of the HOUSE OF HOHENZOLLERN. Every prince of the House of Hohenzollern was invested with one or more of the different levels of the Black Eagle. It was also awarded to those outside the House at the pleasure of the King later (Kaiser). The exterior's finals details are the two kokarden: one the state of Prussia and one for the Reich. The pickelhabe's leather body is in above good condition to nearer minty, thow the interior has some loss to the doe skin liner, even though the silk liner is intact and in good shape. All the helmets funiture is is good or better condition , The wappen is gold washed with over 80% still intact and all the shills on the chin strap are intact and strong , with the inter tiny chin strap still has the buckle, but even though it is complete it is dry and worn nearly out , but an easy fix. The large spike is intact , all the brass is strong and beautiful on the visor. The center enameled black eagle and the laural leaves surrond, are perfect, The motto in latin is '' SUUM CUIQUE'' to each his own. The silver sun burst makes the enameled eagle stand out. Of coarse the eagle has the scrooling emblem '' MIT GOTT FUR KOENIG UND VATERLAND'' for god king and country. Any info call 859-533-5445
