Remington New Model Army Percussion Civil War Revolver, 44 cal., 6-shot 8” BBL. Serial 140938
Standard Markings, “Patented Sept 14 1858/E Remington & Sons Ilion New York, USA/New Model”,
Also marked “F.B.C.Co.” on the frame and front of cylinder. The bore is very good with 40-50 % of rifling and some wear and corrosion; cylinder chambers are a little dirty. Action works well and locks up very tight when cocked, metal is very clean with almost no corrosion. Marking’s are clear. Walnut grips have a few chips at the bottom, fit well and look good, have cartouche on left side. Overall a very good original antique Civil War Era Remington Army suitable for collector/shooter.
