Description:
NEW PRICE!! 1864 dated Colt original Civil War musket manufactured in 1861. Very good overall condition. This musket was made by Colt Manufacturing Company, Hartford, Connecticut.
This percussion shoulder arm is a .58 caliber muzzleloader with standard 40" barrel. Inspector initials "M.N.M" on left side and clear date of "1864" stamped on the breech top. Colt special manufacturing marking located under the bolster. Date "1864" in deep numerals behind the hammer. Eagle in full flight stamped on flat of bolster. Three iron, screw tightened barrel bands hold the barrel in place. Original ramrod in excellent condition.
Dark walnut stock in very good condition. Clear inspectors initials forward of the butt plate. All markings are clear and well defined. Some scattered staining. A very nice addition to any collection.
