This is a very nice , EUROPEAN Double Action, PINFIRE Revolver. "LEFAUCHEUX STYLE" . Civil War Period. It is also marked on the left side of grip on a dedication silver plaque ,"Mp/DURAND/1".. Has several Proof Markings. Has a round 6.5/8" barrel with a very good bore with spots of light pitting from black powder. Six shot. Double Action only. Trigger return a little weak but does work with assist. Bore measures 11 mm caliber. The frame, cylinder and straps have a very nice floral design of engraving The overall metal finish is a smooth mottled brown patina . The finely checkered walnut grips are in excellent condition, but show some smoothing from use. ! The action is tight. Has a Military lanyard stud and ring. No, serial number is found. Does have the following marked in frame under grip panels,"R,W,J,B,T, and E". I accept USPS Money orders or Bank Cashier's Check. Will accept personal check, with shipping hold.
