British military Royal Navy Long Sea Service Flintlock Pistol, circa. 1770’s. 12”, .577 (regulation) round steel barrel w/ (2) Tower Proofs are worn, crown on end of tang also. Lock marked; “TOWER” on end and a “CROWN” over “GR”, with a small crown and an arrow to the right of the large crown . Stock is in very good condition with lots of the original dark finish. Very interesting and historical. Lock metal has a little corrosion and bbl. has some corrosion at the rear of barrel, markings are very readable. Brass regulation furniture. 19.5” Overall length. A very nice example that could have seen service during the American Revolutionary War or the war of 1812. In good working order, locks up well on half cock and full cock. (17-1) $1950.00
