Description:
Winchester Model of 1873 "3RD Model" .32/20 WCF. Special Order with 30 inch factory barrel. The serial number of this example is 41870X placing date of manufacture in 1892. The overall condition of this rifle is very good. The Barrel and Magazine tube have retained 80% of the original untouched factory rust blue toning to a dark blue / plum patina, very nice... The bore is ruff, dark and pitted... Rifling is present with scattered pitting, however I did test fire this rifle with Remington Factory .32/20 ammo. The rifle fired and function perfectly and was accurate out to 100 yards. The receiver has retained 20% factory blue. The brass follower has not been cleaned and has toned to a very nice mustard marbled patina. The Caliber markings can be clearly seen engraved on the follower and barrel. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. very nice untouched Special order "Third Model" 1873 Sporting Rifle. Priced right!
