Randall Model # 12-11" large Smithsonian Bowie,with top cutting edge that is concave in its final shape. Left over blade from the late 60's, knife was completed in 1972. Brass ribbed back edge feature brazed on blade. Solid one piece Brazilian rosewood grip,(crack-free), brass lugged guard with "L" shaped extended quillons, scalloped brass collar, scalloped flanged brass butt cap. Contained with sharpening stone in original dark brown rough back Johnson leather scabbard. Knife bear few shop forging marks on blade. Exquisite and very beautiful knife from another ear-a time capsule.As with all newly listed Randall Bowies knives, the scarcity of this specimen along with all others, is reflected in the lack of similar Bowies that are far to be in the same astonishing and exquiste pristine condition as all these knives are. Rarity, condition, uniqueness and flawless construction makes for a very valuable and prized knife as this is valid for guns.
